The Law School of “Babeş-Bolyai” University of Cluj-Napoca organised on 9-12 April 2009 the “Law Schools’ Hexagon”, a traditional student convention attended by the law schools of the following universities: University of Bucharest, “Babeş-Bolyai” University of Cluj, ”A. I. Cuza” University of Iaşi, “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu, West University of Timişoara and the  University of Craiova.

Our team came in third in the general ranking, after Sibiu and Cluj, but won the first places in individual contests, as follows:

- 1st place in Civil Law, Diaconiţă R.M. Vladimir-Florin (group 309) and Paziuc N. Cristian (group 314);
- 2nd place in Criminal Law, Pană N. Alexandra-Raluca and Pârgaru M. Dragoş (both in group 313).

Congratulations and thanks are due to them for representing our Law School with honour. The four students’ effort and results will be rewarded accordingly from the “Professor Constantin Stoicescu Heritage Fund”.

Credit is also due to the teaching staff involved in the students’ preparation for the contest:

- Dr. Răzvan Dincă, Lecturer, and George Ilie, Teaching Assistant, of the Private Law Chair;
- Dr. Cristian Mitrache, Associate Professor, Dr. Cristina Rotaru, Lecturer, and Raluca Mocanu, Teaching Assistant, of the Criminal Law Chair.

We would also like to congratulate all the students, faculty delegates and members of sports teams for their dedication and commitment to the competition.

The elegant and fair conduct of all our students, irrespective of the contests they participated in (be they professional or athletic), was rewarded by the organisers with the Hexagon Fair-Play Cup.
