CMR Academy 2026 and International CMR Colloquium 2026
Two conference-events organized in early October 2026, in partnership, by CMR Advisory Council and Faculty of Law - University of Bucharest
The two event - conferences mark the 70th anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road (CMR)

The two conferences bring together personalities from the field of road transport, leading specialists from academia, as well as practitioners with high level of expertise.
The conference-event:
- will be a forum for discussion and analysis of the interpretation and application of the CMR in the member states, in the context in which technological innovation (digitalization - eCMR), legal innovation(negotiable cargo document), but also the illicit phenomenon(high-value theft, identity theft - "fake or phantom" carriers, etc.) are increasingly present and raise issues of adaptation and application of the CMR;
- offer the opportunity to meet CMR specialists from the legal field, the transport industry, as well as the insurance field, constituting an opportunity to create and expand professional networks;
- will be an opportunity for students to discover a dynamic and attractive field. Especially for them, the first moot court in the field of transport law will be organized within the conferences;
- will be an opportunity for an effective exchange of experience, which will ultimately provide the most complete picture of the reality in the field of road transport and open the way for better legal regulation. During the conferences, a round table will be organized for carriers and forwarding companies in which an attempt will be made to identify the main problems faced by those working in these fields, as a basis for future actions, for proposals to improve regulations in the field.

The event is organized with the support of: International Road Transport Union (IRU), the Institute of International Transport Law (IDIT-France), GRECO ROMANIA, the National Union of Road Hauliers from Romania (UNTRR) and the Union of Romanian Forwarding Companies/Uniunea Societăților de Expediție din România (USER).
"The event is subject to the approval procedure in principle by the INPPA. The conference is included in the training and continuous improvement program for lawyers. Professional training points will be awarded after the end of the conference, based on the provisions of the Methodology for the recognition of continuous professional training activities, approved by the U.N.B.R. Council."
