Elena- Simina TĂNĂSESCU, Ph.D. in Law Professor, Judicial Review in Comparative Law
Judicial review is analysed in comparative law as one of existing possibilities to check upon the conformity of laws with the Constitution after their coming into force.

The control a posteriori can be found in almost all European countries. It may be exercised by the way of direct action or by the way of judical review. However, the judicial review as adopted by the European countries is not indispensable neither for the State governed by the rule of law, nor for democracy.
