The phenomenon of illegal immigration has allowed the intro¬duction in the Spanish criminal law two groups of crimes. The first one consists of the crimes meant to protect the integration of all foreigners by means of so-called “antidiscrimination” crimes. The second is made-up by crimes that suppress the trafficking of human beings or favouring the clandestine immigration, crimes that can be sanctioned either with criminal punishment or with the expulsion of the foreign citizen which is not resident in Spain.
